Frequently asked questions
Are your products really Japanese?
Yes. All our products are imported directly from Japan. Our Cooking San matchas are produced in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, and our brand belongs to JAPANZON CO., LTD, a Japanese company based in Tokyo.
How does delivery work?
Your orders ship from Japan via Japan Post with a tracking number. A tracking link is provided as soon as your order is dispatched. Delivery times vary depending on destination and customs checks.
Will I pay customs duties or VAT?
For any delivery outside Japan, you are the official importer: your country's customs duties and VAT are your responsibility. Since 1 July 2021, the European Union applies VAT to all shipments. These charges are not set by Cooking San.
How do I track my parcel?
A Japan Post tracking number and a tracking link are provided as soon as your order ships.
What is the difference between Daily Matcha and Premium Matcha?
Daily Matcha is smooth and versatile, designed for everyday use: matcha latte, baking and usucha. Premium Matcha, with its rich, refined umami, is selected for traditional usucha and produced in limited quantities.
How should I store matcha?
Away from light, heat and humidity. After opening, reseal the pouch carefully and consume soon to preserve aroma and colour.
Is payment secure?
Yes, all transactions are encrypted and protected.
