TABURO - Red Glass Hokusai (Edo Kiriko) TB022-204R
The Edo Kiriko method of glass decoration involves carving patterns into the glass (which is already in its final glass form) with a diamond knife. This technique dates back to the late 19th century and is very popular in Japan and its products are perceived as luxurious, due to the difficulty of the work and the beauty of its graphics.
Taburo is a Japanese company that specialises in traditional Japanese handmade glassware. They produce beautiful pieces with rich and varied patterns, made with the edo kiriko method.
Made in Japan.
