Furikake is a condiment used by sprinkling it over hot rice, onigiri, or noodles (soba, udon). It usually comes in flake form and comes in a wide variety of flavors. This particular furikake is made with umeboshi.

Umeboshi are Japanese salted plums soaked in salt and shiso leaves. They are particularly popular among the Japanese for their salty and very sour taste.

Made in Japan.
