MARUMIYA - Furikake Mentaiko
Furikake is a condiment that is used by sprinkling it on hot rice. It is usually presented in the form of flakes and there are many different flavors. This furikake has a mentaiko taste.
Mentaiko is a very popular ingredient in Japanese cuisine, often eaten with onigiri, sake. Japanese people also like it spicy. It is made of marinated hake roe, an ingredient that looks like clumped fish eggs. Introduced in Japan after the Russo-Japanese war, the hake roe comes from Alaska ("mentai" translates as "Alaska" and "ko" as "child").
The Marumiya brand is renowned for its high quality furikake.
