Yakinori leaves are made from dried nori seaweed, which is then roasted before being transformed into leaves called "yakinori". These leaves are used in the preparation of maki (the filled rice is rolled in the large leaf and then cut into small maki) or ramen and sobas (the leaf is then cut into strips).
These nori seaweeds come from the Japanese prefecture of Hyogo.
The Nishibe Nori brand specialises in the production of seaweed-related food products.
